Annual
OBON Festival, July 31st Noon to 8 p.m. at
the
Salinas
Buddhist
Temple
. Many delicious Japanese dishes will be served. There is
a display of Ikebana and Bonsai. Taiko Drums at 4 PM, and
OBON dancing at 6 PM. Free admission, just come for good
food. Contact is Claudia Hirasuna at 484-9439 for more
information.
BBQ,
games, and fun for families with children 0 - 8 years old,
Sunday, August 7th, 11:30 a.m.,
at Mike and Michelle Zimmerman's home. RSVP to 484-2153.
Worship, Work and Welcome! Sunday, August 21st
9:00-9:30 a.m. Informal outdoor worship ~ a 30 minute all ages
friendly worship, then Workday at the Church and Grange ~ let's
beautify our church and preschool before school begins! We'll
break for Welcome BBQ at 11:20 for hotdogs and drinks! The
workday will continue until 1:30 p.m..
Bocce Ball Tournament, with food and music, August 27th,
at Brusa's home. This is a fundraiser for the church –
and it will be awesomely fun!

Preschool Open House is August 25th and 26th. The
First Days of School are August 29th and 30th!
Art
in the Pastures of Heaven is coming, Friday, September 16th!
Features fine art, local wines, great food, beautiful people.
