Ministry Teams
The
Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd has many ministry teams that do the
work of the church. For a small parish we are very active – not only in
our own ministries but in the work of our parish and the Diocese. Please
know that any and all of these are
open to new members. Simply speak to the Rector or to a members of the
group.
STEWARDSHIP
Our
stewardship team is a year-round group that works to ensure the
parish’s understanding that everything we have comes from God.

PRAYER
SHAWL MINISTRY
This
important ministry is a group of women who meet two times a month
and knit prayer shawls for those in need. The shawls are blessed
on Sunday morning and then go to someone in need.
Many
are involved in this work – this year the chair is Carol May.
PRESCHOOL
MINISTRY TEAM
Our
preschool is an important part of who we are. This team helps work
with the preschool to plan events that strengthen our
relationship. It changes every year. This year Shannon Brandt is
the chair and Alan Scott is treasurer.
PASTORAL
CARE
Under
pastoral care we have groups that visit shuts, ministers who take
communion to those who are ill, those who organize the coffee
hour, those who work on meals that heal, those who work on fun
things for the parish! There is a wide variety of things to get
involved with – talk to the rector and she will direct you.
LEGACY
MINISTRY TEAM
This
important team helps plan for the future of the church by
educating parishioners on the importance of leaving something of
their estate to the parish. We celebrate with annual dinners,
speakers and make it as fun as possible.
