Afterchool Play January 14-25
After School Newsletter
Dear After School Families:
Welcome back! It has been great being back at school with the children. I have been hearing all about their winter break festivities, along with the gifts they received. They have been equally excited to be back at school and even more so back to the Grange. The children came back with so much energy! This is great news because we have so much exciting things planned for the rest of school year.
Our January Focus:
The month of January we will be focusing on our five senses. We will be taking a mini nature walk to see what we can see, smell and touch, painting with scented paint, and have mystery sound tubes. This will be exciting for the children to focus on their senses.
We will be introducing tools to the children and teach them how to safely use them. This will be in preparation for our take apart stations that we will introduce soon. Take apart stations are where we take apart old electronics by unscrewing and safely exploring the contents.
Please remember to check the spare clothes that are in the children’s cubbies. The children have been playing in the water in the afternoon and have been finding that clothes have seem to have gotten smaller over the break.
Take Apart Stations:
We are looking for any old electronic equipment, such as, cd players, VCRs, type writers, and etc, for the children to take apart and explore more in depth on what the inside of some electronics look like.
No Show Email or Text:
We do care if we do not see your child during their normal pick up. Emailing or texting will give us a good reference to keep track during pick up. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org and cell is 831-915-3324.
Have a terrific week!
