Afterschool Play March 4 - 15
After School Newsletter
Dear After School Families:
The children are currently working on our Family projects. We just finished making our family portraits and they are hanging on our bulletin board. The children drew a picture of who is in their families that live with them, including pets. They all look beautiful! Check it out on your next visit.
The children are working on treating friends’ workspace with kindness. Recently, the children have been working more and more together in the digging area. There has been some conflict. We have been discussing about how communication with each other is important when everyone is working so closely together with different ideas. We are also working on finding ways to work together and combine ideas. The children have been doing a terrific job getting messages to each other about their work space. I will continue to focus on their communication skills.
Our March Focus:
The month of March, we will be focusing on Winter changing into Spring. The changes that it will bring, such as, growing flowers, bugs, the weather. We will be growing our own plants and watching it grow through the weeks or even months ahead. Tending to them and making observations of the growth it makes through out the weeks ahead.
Dress in layers:
It has been getting chilly in the morning and unpredictable in the afternoons. Please help your child dress appropriately for the weather. Dressing in layers are a good choice, they can peel of the layers as they get cold or hot during the day. We do stay inside if it gets to cold or if it rains.
Just a gentle reminder that Ouchie reports needs to be signed and left in the sign out binder. This is so we can properly file them. If you would like a copy of the Ouchie report, please let a teacher know. Thank you
No Show Email or Text:
We do care if we do not see your child during their normal pick up. Emailing or texting will give us a good reference to keep track during pick up. My email is email@example.com and cell is 831-915-3324.
Have a terrific week!
