April 7: Persevering in resisting evil and what to do when you fail: Making Choices / How to make good choices.
Our Confirmation Classes are called Confirm Not Conform for a reason. These classes are spiritually engaging, socially enriching, and practical, developing actual skills for Christian living. Being a part of this group can be enriching, even if you decide that this isn't the right time for you to be confirmed. Don't let that stop you from engaging.
Youth will have an adult mentor from the congregation that they (and their parents) can choose - with the adult mentor's agreement.
The group will design and carry out a project to serve those whom Jesus held near and dear (children, the elderly, the poor) January 26 has already been reserved for the youth to serve at the Warming Shelter, led by Rachel Brune. In addition, they will design and carry out another project.
You will learn church history (condensed!) and most importantly, will consider each of the vows and beliefs made for you or by you on the occasion of your baptism.
These classes will begin in January and meet for eight Sundays from 11:30 - 12:30 with a Saturday retreat. Confirmation will be on Mother's Day, May 12th when Bishop Mary visits.
Dates: January 13 and January 27, February 3 and 17, March 10 and 24, April 7 and 28, Saturday Retreat, May 11, 9 - 4.
