TTH Yellow Family October 9 - 18

 Yellow Family,

I can’t believe it we have already been in school a month. We are working on self-help skills increasing their confidence. Having them do as much as they can for themselves really helps in building their self-confidence. You can help with this by having your child walk into school at drop off and pick up and letting them place their lunch on the cart.

We will be starting our days outside for October. On Tuesday’s we will be out on the patio area and Thursday’s we will be starting in the sand playground. Please have your children place their lunch on the cart, wash their hands and use the bathroom if they are potty trained. It can be very chilly in the mornings and warmer in the afternoons so please dress in layers.

Next Thursday we will be starting library. The children will be able pick out a book to take home once a week. The books will be traveling back and forth in a large envelope with the child’s name and picture. There will be a crate by the sign in for book returns.

We will be exploring pumpkins for the month of October. There will be a pumpkin patch and pumpkin stand out on the patio. If you haven’t had a chance to bring in your pumpkin there is still time.

Just a heads up, we do not dress up in costume for Halloween at preschool.  We will be making masks for a mask parade.

The class has a garden box out on the patio and we have been working on getting it ready to plant. The children have been raking and watering the soil.
