Blue Family December 17

Wednesday, December 19th at 5:30 in the Church sanctuary the 4 year olds will be participating in the Christmas program. PICK-UP ON 12/1l9 FOR ALL CHILDREN IS 1:00. THERE IS NO AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT ON THAT DAY.

Have your child take a rest and have something to eat, then have them back at school by 5:10. This program has children from the Yellow Family & the Grange site so come early to get a good seat. The boys and girls pick Nativity costumes: Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds, kings or animals to wear during the program (if they want to). The children will sing some holiday songs for about 20 minutes then we will have cookies and milk in the Parish hall.

The following day, Thursday, December 20th at 12:00 in the Parish hall, the whole class will sing a few songs then have a birthday party for Jesus. No lunch is needed for that day. Friday, December 21st we will have PAJAMA DAY. We will also be reading: “The Polar Express” and having hot chocolate and cookies on the “train.” THERE WILL BE NO AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT ON FRIDAY.

Christmas Break will start on 12/24. School resumes on Tuesday, January 8th.

What we have been working on:  desert sunset pictures. They are very proud of their work. You will find it above the cubbies. We have been working hard on our Christmas presents and cards for our family as well. We read “The Gingerbread Cowboy” and “The Gingerbread Boy” and compared which parts of the story were the same and which were different. We introduced story cards that the children put in a line from what happened first, next, and last. We also showed the class colored cuisinart sticks for ordering from largest to smallest. We used gift boxes to learn about small, medium and large. I hope you have been hearing lots of different holiday songs. The children have been practicing each day. Our class loves to sing!

We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year.
