What Are we doing for the last sunday of advent?
As we light the fourth candle on the Advent wreath, we look forward to the birth of our Savior! For our youth and children, we will be rehearsing after the 10am service in the Church. We will need some help setting up the stage, so even if you are not in the play, please come and assist.
Also, if any of our youth who might want to try out their green thumb, Linda Kodet and the Flower Guild will need assistance setting up the altar for Christmas on Sunday. If you are interested, please let me know ahead of time!
Pre-K Children and Families: Our nursery leader, Ms. Ruth, will be waiting for our youngest parishioners in the nursery! Of course, our littlest ones are always welcome in the service as well.
Children's Chapel (K-4th Grade): This week, we learn about Mary's visit to Elizabeth, her cousin, who was also the mother of John the Baptist. We take time to think about the Mother of God, who gave birth to her Son on Christmas. Thank you to our Chapel Leader, Tracy Shelby, who will co-lead this week's Children's Chapel.
Youth Group (5th-9th Grade): This week, we will finish our Advent Bible Study with a look at the Gospel of Luke, Chapters 1 and 2. We will talk about Luke's perspective on the story of Jesus' birth, and how his Gospel can help us to understand our Savior. Looking forward to another great discussion at our Youth Group Bible Study.
As a quick reminder, if you've finished a scarf or other knitted item to donate, this is the last chance to hang it up on the Giving Tree outside the Parish Hall.
